Sage Implementation Consultant
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Sage Implementation Consultant to support the deployment and optimization of our Sage ERP solution. This contract role will partner closely with finance, operations, and IT stakeholders to ensure a successful end-to-end implementation, from requirements gathering through post-go-live support.
This is a hands-on role ideal for a consultant who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a proven track record delivering Sage implementations for mid-sized to enterprise organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or support the full lifecycle implementation of Sage (Intacct, Sage 100, or Sage X3 depending on environment)
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business requirements
- Configure Sage modules including GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, purchasing, and reporting
- Design and execute data migration strategies, including cleansing, mapping, and validation
- Develop and deliver user training and documentation
- Integrate Sage with existing systems (CRM, payroll, inventory, etc.)
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and resolve functional issues
- Provide post-implementation support and optimization recommendations
- Ensure adherence to project timelines, deliverables, and best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience implementing Sage ERP solutions (Intacct, Sage 100, X3, or similar)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Proven experience with ERP configuration, data migration, and system integrations
- Ability to work cross-functionally with finance, IT, and business teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience in mid-market or growing organizations preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Sage certifications (e.g., Sage Intacct Implementation Consultant)
- Experience in industries such as manufacturing, distribution, or professional services
- Familiarity with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Sage dashboards)
- Technical experience with APIs, SQL, or integration platforms
